Day 33 - LAKE DISTRICT, BLACKPOOL

Well  woke to rain and gray skies (I love this country) and headed for Preston but on the way we stopped at a couple of places  in the Lake District.
1st  Grasmere very pretty place
2nd Ambleside for lunch, another lovely place with winding narrow streets going up and down little hills.
3rd Windermere, where they were having the ‘Big Swim’ in the lake, very busy little village and their biggest lake in England (so Sharon says).

The reason we picked Preston was it is close to Blackpool (which Jack from Coro goes to for holidays, so thought it must be a great place) and this was the last chance we had to use Kim’s Accor hotel vouchers.
When you ask me what was a memorable moment,  I will have to say Blackpool. The photos should explain!
Heading into Wales tomorrow so sleep well my travel followers.  I will, with the memories of Blackpool! Saturday is the day for stag dos and hen nights (and days!) The rest of the week must be so quiet there!
