Day 30 - BATH, COTSWOLDS & STRATFORD-ON-AVON

Well the day started with a great breaky of anything you wanted but I must say Kim and I were the youngest in the dining room (Just picture it, all old couples sitting not talking to each other and the kitchen staff had 'You sexy thing', Marvin Gaye and other hot songs playing, with not one of the of the elderly people singing along or even noticing!) I know I had trouble not singing!

Then off we go to the Roman Bath House which I must say those Romans were pretty smart people but thank God we don't communally bathe anymore (You shuddered too!)

Then we headed for the Cotswolds area which is a must, specially the village Bourton on the Water, by the way Kim had been going on about one of the towns (yes it was just like those pesky gnomes) that had a miniature village and guess what - we stuck the jackpot the first stop.

Bourton on the Water was it and Kim had the biggest smile as we walked around the miniature village and she exlpained how it looked just like the real thing and it was in one of the Midsummer Murders programme (come on stay awake I had too!) and made me stand next to the houses to show how little they were. (you are all getting picture of me and the miniature village)

Anne Hathaway's (Shakespeare's wife) birthplace
We then headed to Stratford on Avon where Shakespeare was born (you knew that didn't you!) and married Anne Hathaway. The houses were pretty cool but I don't know how they slept in those small beds, and they had their kids in their rooms till they could hold a candle properly. God, some of our kids would be still in our rooms (scary thought huh?)

The Shakespeare Hostelrie (Pub)

Stayed in a B&B for the first time and would highly recommend it. Well go and enjoy your comfy beds with no kids! :-)
